Gay lean issues...

Finally got to play around with my SDS setup tonight, and for some unknown reason at 15psi I still go lean. I have 2 450cc injectors added to my 6 290's. Perhaps I need a higher volume fuel pump?

Any ideas?

probably. waht pump do you have in there right now? are you watching the fpr gauge ?

There's no place to mount one under the hood, and haven't had the cash to justify an inside fp gauge.

It has the stock pump in there now.
I thought stock pumps were good until like 390-400bhp?

How old is this pump? It may be good for htose numbers new...but once they start to wear they do it quicker when you are running them to their full potential. In my opinion...an electronic fuel pres gauge is better thna not having one at all.....

I agree any gauge is better then none.
The pump is a couple months old. If that.

The SDS indicates that my injectors are going 100%. So I guess I need more then 450's. I found a couple 72lbs ones Im going to try.

I can't imagine you going that lean, especially with 2 extra injectors at 100% duty. Jims 260Z runs mid 11's with N/A injectors and a small .034" NOS fogger of alky. I just can't see you needing that much fuel.

Stockers are 290, I believe the N/As are the same. I don't understand why i would be running lean at only 15psi. But it goes lean up top. Around 5krpm.
