yea i would go with secert services but they always seem packed and xat is selling the car with like a sr20 package sooo i get a car and then the swap too

They are all good shops. I've been by XAT a lot for random sr parts and casey and adam are really helpful. Dave is a very good mechanic too. He knows sr's pretty well.

i just think its funny that those 'other guys' call SS whenever they are having problems

secret services has the most experience in the area out of anybody, and the most knowledge.

i've been given false information by dave, their mechanic at XAT regarding tacho information.

xat does par work, stock swaps done efficiently, and their cars are sold with working a/c and all the goodies. So if you want a bone stock swap, they can help you out.

Just remember, a Secret Services car is always going to beat out an XAT car, they don't like that one bit!



p.s.
i dont think theyh made 539 rear wheel horsepower out of a stock block sr either ;p

i am not trying to diss xat or anything, but from what i hear they do alright swaps and the basic bolt-ons. but there draws the line. when it comes to technical problems or trouble shooting they call other shops in the near area for help. i would say go to a shop where the mechanics KNOW their shit. also i agree, i have yet to see/hear of a sr come out of their bay with some real power.
again i am not out to put anyone down, just put in my .02.
some other shops to look into are of coarse SS and Hybrid performance

he got his car from another shop not mentioned at all in this thread. it overheated/blew HG an we will be fixing it for him.

Different shops target different markets of customers.

XAT goes and gets cars from auction, does the swap, sells them to customers directly or on ebay and usually stock with bolt ons.

SS just do swaps for peeps that already have a car most of the time. They don't go to auctions and get cars regularly. They have a dyno and TUNING is their best credential.

HYBRID i don't know enough about them other than GLENN himself.

They all do good enough work to stay in business. Experience is always on SS side. But when a customer is looking for a 240 with swap already done, its ebay or XAT for them...........I know few peeps that do not want to buy a 240sx and than do a swap themselves or have a shop do it. They want it all in one shot and those customers prefer XAT kinda shops.

Everyone has their market...........
