stock ca is like 83x83.6 .. a little oversquare. With CA 20 crank.. it would be real oversquare.. Like 83x91.8 This has been tried before guys and it turns into a 9,500 rpm screamer that likes to break cranks. Ya.. instead of throwing rods and other such messes the CA 20 crank is weaker cast.. Well actually it just has sucky ass balance past 7k... It was never meant to go that far to begin with since the CA 20 block had like super horendously long rods that were like honda thin. Anyways... I think a knifed CA20 crank in a CA18 with a balanced / bped bottom end would stay damn strong.. 9000 rpm would be feasable. No head work necessary like an SR.. and it would be relatively cheap. I liked my CA.. wish I would have known more back then when I had it.

fuck a headgasket.

CNC machine a recessed groove 1/4"- 1/2" deep, on the head weld the exact material you took out of the block onto the head. makes a perfect compression seal.

that 900hp saab did something similar

Greaser! I need to get in touch with you if you want to meet up for the drive to ATL. We're staying at Viginia Tech on Thursday night. You can meet us there if you want/can. Let me know.

Sorry for the off-topic post.
