i used to be into hondas but bought a stock 97 eclipse last week and need to lear a lot quick...some questions may be stupid because i know nothin about mitsu's but gimme a break. i need to know a few basic things like what motor would be the best for my car,what would be the best perfomance mods to do first, can i put a turbo in a gt shell and other things.. all the feedback is really appreciated so thank you for all the help

you can, but it's a waste of money. You can only push about max 10 psi and that's on a 420A neon motor. You're not going to go very fast and you're just going to spin because of the FWD.

 

You do have a nice daily driver with AC though, and I don't think the neon motors have crankwalk. Just keep it stock and look for a 1G AWD

Your car is non-turbo right...? If so, it has a dodge neon motor (420A) in it (about 100 hp).

they're not bad, you can run pretty quick with a hahn stage 2-3 BUT... you could buy a 1g awd for that price and have a WHOLE car that will be faster stock.

 

Seriously Chris(Zirconium). Your constant bashing of everything that isnt a 92 AWD Laser is becoming sickening. Every thread, on every forum that someone mentions wanting to mod a 2gNT, you tell them to sell their car and get a 1g AWD. Newsflash! that is not an option for everyone and even if it is, not everyone wants to carry it out. You seem to forget that the 4G63 community is not the only one out there. There are many many many people on the 2gNT board that have more knowledge about what goes on under the hood than you ever will, and quite a few of them that would be happy to hand you your ass from a roll, stop, or whatever else tickles your fancy. It is very possible to build a nice 420a powered ride, and while it my not be the ultimate track car, that doesnt mean someone cant enjoy building one up. This is a Hobby! Its about doing what YOU like.
