Default Eclipse refuses to die !

I hate typing so im gonna make it quick: I left this car over two years ago when I left for boot camp. Since then I had it running one other time when I was home on leave roughly a year ago. I'm now back in Tampa ( I'm stationed at Marine Corps air station Miramar in San Diego ) on pre-deployment leave and decided to see if this thing still had life in her.(warning language)Eclipse first start up - YouTube took it for a spin around the block and everything runs like it used to. turbo still makes 18psi, BOV still holds it, and it still brings a grin to my face. Since it has been sitting so long ( under a cover ) it has become residence to every insect in Florida. I have already used two bug bombs, and last night started ripping out the carpet which was a moldy mess.

Now to be honest I don't know why im cleaning this car up. Its gonna cost me around $1k to ship it to Cali. On top of that the input shaft seal on the tranny is leaking oil out of the bell housing, and grey oil which might indicate other tranny problems ( it still shift perfect ). So I'm really not sure what I'm gonna do with this car. I have put so much blood, sweat and tears into the car it's hard to not do anything...

I appreciate the offer but there is really nothing on this car I can't and have not done ( other than internal transmission work .) I have done everything from balance shafts to a headgaskets, the clutch and transmission has also been swapped ( the transmission is actually from Joe's goodwill car .) everything still works, including the power windows which I have already had to replace in my BMW. The only thing that bothers me is that leak from the bell housing. I'm continually driving it around the neighbor hood to see if I can feel anything in the gearbox but it still shifts great. I don't know what to do with this thing. Break ties with it and sell it cheap? or turn it into a max effort street car.

dirty oil makes syncros work better. they grab harder than with new slippery oil.

I regretted selling my last project, thats just me though. My advice, if your main reason for selling it is money than dont sell it because there is so much effort that goes into it that you cant put a price on it. If its a life style change than sell it.
