Default rules

the rules are fairly simple-----50 points max for the concours..
100 points max---drag race----best run over an entire day(test and tune style)
100 points max for the autocross(6 runs max over 6 hrs span)
the car must have all street equipment(but need not be street licensed or driven) and must be production based(you can read anything into that as my car this year is a Ford Festiva that I have removed the engine and trans-cut out the entire rear seat area and installed the entire front suspension/engine/trans from a Ford Taurus SHO in the back-----this car was called exactly what the Magazine wanted when it started this competetion-by the event chairman)
Given these rules and what I can build(look on www.GRMotorsports.cam-search for SHOGUN)-you can see what next years car may be......1800 lbs won't be an issue-I hope for 1400

another consideration. get a automatic fwd and cut/fabricate to put a second auto fwd drivetrain under the rear.

should tackle your power needs. and it's awd.

if you can put a taurus sho engine in a festiva, that shouldn't be terribly difficult and it's been done before, so it's definitely possible.

Any progress on the DSM? What's been done to it so far?
