Nice power, any idea if the owner will take this to the track any time soon?

 

Most likely some time next month when he purchases better tires and it hopefully cools down just a tad. Last time we went out with the stock turbo @ 407whp the track was so hot the track prep would not adhere to the track surface. This caused such horrible traction that the car would spin to the 7,800 rev limit instantly with the 2step as low as 4,100rpms.

 

yes plans for the track are in order... but as what was mentioned in pass... my ignition system is being very temperamental at this level.. an upgraded ignition is in the works as well as some new tires since its fighting for traction in first and second on the street from a roll. I can only imagine what will happen from a stop with two-step.lol

big thanks goes out to RYU for tuning the setup. We've just gotten to the efficiency range of the turbo ... so once the small issues get fixed there might be a small retune with results and track times to follow.

 

i thought you were only going for 500whp on stock block lol. 4g63 ftw!

 

The 500whp barrier was too easy to reach on this car. We jumped from 498whp one run to 519whp on the next run.

 

34psi with 93 oct + meth? those are some sweet numbers. stock manifold and o2 housing too?

 

Ported stock exhaust manifold, and ported hotside. Intake manifold is stock.

 

FP black is such a sick bolt on turbo. Are you going with really good street tires, or drag radials? and don't the evo's come stock with coil on plug setup? How is the ignition tempermental, and what do you upgrade to...msd coils? These are logical questions, im done starting shit. lol.
