So you read the code it was throwing? Sounds like MAF to me too.

Weirdest shit ever, I unplug the maf, Car idles PERFECTLY for the first time ever. Plug it back in and now it's fine. Must've had a shitty connection.

Check the wires going into the plug and or clean the MAF, so it doesn't happen again.

Honestly, It's not the maf. Ever since i've had my car, it hasn't idled right. I never found out why. I'm now finding out, my cat was plugged. and all the back pressure blew the gasket from the exhaust mani to the down pipe, And the exhaust mani is now also cracked. So, it's my o2 sensor. Lol

Yikes. Im always afraid of clogging my cat. Those gaskets before the o2 sensor make a HUGE difference, I had no idea.

Also, if you're still having rough start issues, check the coolant temp sensor. One of the wires on mine just broke and I thought of this thread. Same symptoms. It will start if I crank it just right. But then as soon as you tap the gas it dies. If you stab at it just right while the rshared_pm is rising you can "break through" it and rev the car up...still misfires like crazy till its warm though. So I unplug the MAFs and the car fires up...haha.

Lmao. Yeah. I started my car and heard an additional growling noise, I popped the hood and see the exhaust blowing out the side of the gasket. My initial thoughts were "Fucking awesome." lol

Yeah the cat can fuck it up, My car originally when i bought it, With the maf plugged in, I couldn't rev beyond 4k. UNLESS the maf was unplugged. And i tried fixing everything that would cause my car to do that, and idle awkwardly, Never even thought about the cat. Now my brand new downpipe gasket is blown and my exhaust mani is slightly cracked. If i even decide to fix it, I'm sazawing the cat off and replacing the mani. I've already got the muffler sazawed off so why not lol
