+1 on mls headgasket + arp headstuds. If you can change that many head gaskets and not have such a problem with it, then your tune should be right on

This is the white evo1 that was built by me. I replace the gasket and when he came to pick car up I advised the car was not safe for boost. this car has 19psi gate an cant be turned down. it was still hot here when checked the tune. it was 97% duty at just 5500 in third gear. car needed way more fuel to even think about making tune safe. he said he would drive it without boosting till he could afford recommended fuel upgrades.

this is typical lack of budget failure. he dint even have extra 50 to do fuel pump rewire which i offered to do right on the spot after i saw the tune.

metal gasket wont help bad tunes. and head and block have to be prepped special to run metal gasket.

isnt the evo1 that 6 bolt 4g63 if im correct doesnt that come stock with a metal head gasket

early evos are 7 bolt. and they use composite gasket from factory

Don't get the metal headgasket unless ur motor is built properly... metal headgasket leads to no hg blown but then leads to it being stronger than the rest of ur motor and something else will go and will be more xpensive than fixing a hg.... Solution: Figure out the greater of two evils.
