Default Venting

i been hearing some different things and was gunna ask here before i tried something...whats the difference between venting to the atmosphere or back into the engine....i was told venting to the atmosphere would cause the car to possibly stall and puff out some smoke but give it that sound i like...could someone enlighten me please..

This question has been answered so many times. Please go to www.dsm.org and read. Read, and then read some more.

Then try to figure out why you would want to make your "performance car" not perform as well just to hear a sound.

DSM's have a MAF. It meters air to account for how much fuel to give the motor. When you vent outside the system NO MATTER WHAT it looses air that was counted when it came in. It results in a rich condition. Period. Will you get the car to idle OK....maybe. Will it be piss rich between shifts...definately. Will it hurt boost responce after shifting....yes. Is it worth it? It's up to you noise or performance. Change to a VPC if you wanna vent.

D00d my friend is recirculating on a stock turbo and everything. He got a greddy type s and you can still hear that shit coming. Go for the better performance, you can still hear the "chirp" "sneeze" whatever you wanna call it.

to me its not all that big of a deal...yea i love the sound...if its gunna sacrifice performance or engine life..then fudge it...but if i can still get that sound and keep the engine good then i guess thats how ill go...thanks...
