what about the whole rev. thing how high do you guys think i should bring it?

i only went past red line once in my car just to see where the rev limiter kicked in and for some reason mine went past 8k so i stopped lol. i miss my crack motor

6500rpm's is generally where a stock motor peaks...and yea you do risk blowing ur motor on 450's @ 20psi with the 14b

are you the one who got my teal colt with the carbon fiber hood??

On my first swapped colt (it was automatic) i ran a 2g maf with 550cc injectors on a 16g @ 15psi with no tuning and stock ecu my wideband was reading in the 13 area on the afr reading at WOT altho i had a 4g61t w. the 1991 4g63 head, ecu,and intake when i had the 14b with the 450cc's i boosted it to 20psi and it blew the turbo and my afr's were reading mid-high 15's on stock air box and maf.

but the stock 63t fuel maps were rich for the 61t

no my friend had your colt for a lil while (it didnt have a carbon hood tho)we rebuilt it and then sold it to a kid that knows nothing about cars what so ever....... we are waiting for it to blow up.

but as far as my car gos i still dont understand why it jumps that high i mean i can understand a lil creap do to my exhaust but i didnt think that much (2 1/2 downpipe to 3 inch till right before the gas tank. all open)

yea i know JR had bought the carbon fiber hood from joey or whoever. if the teal colt blows up let me know. I'll buy it back lol


probably something to do with the wastegate honestly it shouldnt creep past like 15psi

Mines all stock..Only thing ive done is replaced the bearings..I spin my to 7500..I tried running a little homeade boost controler and it was boosting to 20psi then dropping off to 15psi and i didnt really have any problems..Ive just recently put back on the stock bcs and its boosting to about 11psi...thats on a 14b

yea i mean this motor i know is good it only has about 500 miles on it as far as it being in my car it was all taken apart with new gaskets and i made sure everything was good. i think if i am going to race it i will call it quits at like 7000 rshared_pm.

i think if i really keep getting on it and it keeps going to 20 psi i will throw my eprom ecu in and my 550s
