What? Limp mode? You just reset it by unhooking the battery and pressing the brake or something to drain the power, wait a few minutes and hook it back up..

By reprogrammed to your car, do you mean a tune or something?

Or am I just totally lost?

or i'm just an idiot and don't really know what i'm tryin to ask lol
long story a little shorter lol..
i bought this car with 3 holes in the block so basically got a new block, head, basically everything. but the car would run fucked up every now and then, it would run rich at times, the car wouldn't want to idle sometimes, the temp guage would go all over the place. so i went to put it on a scanner and the guy showed me, it came up on his scanner "reprogram or replace" and he said since the comp in the car was out of a junkyard it may need programmed to to car. and seeings as hell i don't know shit about ecu's i took his word for it. i did take the ecu out to get the numbers off it to search for prices on a new one, and when it went back in i haven't had to many issues other then it idling high at times and the check engine light is on, but a scanner wont read my comp.

does this give you a better idea of what i'm tryin to say??

Ah ok. As long as you got the right ecu part number for your car then there should be no resetting to worry about.

Not really sure about the issue but you may want to go over the wiring, possibly something came loose and got knocked back into place when you reinstalled the ecu?

i double checked it. but i don't know if the numbers i have are the ones that actually belong to the car since it's out of a junkyard. but so far since i did take the ecu out the only issue i'm having is that it runs rich as hell and i'm goin through gas like nothing. but i'm wondering if its because my temp sensor isn't plugged in. but when its pluged in the car wont idle and has a hard time running but i'm not sure why, it's a brand new sensor. and it's not helpin that this car basically made me nose-dive into mechanics lol i'm still tryin to learn this stuff. thats why really any help is usefull to me
