Default Evo engine swap in a 2G eclipse GS

Can people give me some opinions to an Evo engine swap in a 2G eclipse GS. I would say Evo 8 and above, possible MIVEC. I don't want opinion on just turboing the 420A. I wanna know how people feel about this swap if money isn't the issue. I have been interested in this swap for a while. Time, fabrication, wiring, ecu & tuning, etc. Give me your opinions!

Just typed in evo engine in a 2g eclipse into the search engine and this is what comes up. It was just posted less than 3 months ago.

I rem seeing something on here about it. But I don't care about the how-to's. I wanted opinions on whether it should be a go or no go....made a point about being fwd still, but I'm talking full evo engine and drivetrain.

At that point, for the money it'd be cheaper to just buy a low mileage 2g AWD, and it'd likely be more reliable too. You're also not TOO far from buying an entire used Evo. There's too many downsides to this swap imo

If money isn't an issue I'd say do it. Fuck the haters. You see people all the time spend mad time and money on swaps that are completed just for shits and giggles. Yea you could buy a turbo 2g and make it faster for less, but you'll end up going the same route like everyone else...You can find various Evo front clips for around 3K, and some longblocks with harnesses for about 2K.

Just my $.02

The evo drivetrain is currently the best 4 cylinder drivetrain on the planet. Given that the eclipse is still (and always will be) and awesome body to look at at this swap is a match made in heaven. If budget for project is not a concern than why you even asking?

Thanks chilllllll and lancerman, that's what I wanted to hear. I would like to do something different and this would be unique swap given its been done before, but I haven't saw one here yet. Ya Sean I did say that, but I was thinking something different and that would be a great swap to do. =)
