Default 5speed swap

Hey guys seeing if anyone knows what it takes to do a 5speed swap, what will i need and what it takes, please if anyone has any info what so ever please help me out.

2G swap, other then the obvious tranny, clutch, pedal, hydraulics.... the 2G is going to have alot more electrically connected, your gonna have a shitload of Check Engine lights because OBD2 added tranny codes. Physically yes can be done and work, electrically your car wont be happy.

yea that will work i had to do that when i did a 5 speed swap in my 95. my ecu kept sending a signal to the auto tranny computer and it wouldnt go past 4k unless i was at WOT and that was only every now and then. take out the auto ecu and the regular ecu and put a 5-speed gst ecu. im not sure if the auto harness is independent between the tranny and its computer but check that too, it might give you problems but i doubt it. i hope that helps. good luck

i had a 95 gst automatic, converted it to manual never had a problem with electrical. you'll have a lot wires sitting in your engine bay from automatic sensor, but you can get away with it, swapping harness. I still have my ecu eprom with dsmlink from my automatic gst.
