boost cut....
when do you guys normally hit boost cut? i was chasing my friend's 5.0 and when i hit 3rd i started boosting and all the sudden i heard a boom and i got jerked forward. i let off the gas then acclerated slowly to make sure my i.c. piping was still on and everything checked out. so was that boost cut? or is my car just proving to be even more special e.d.?

yep, that's boost cut! technically called fuel cut
How often do you get on it in 3rd? Youre probably building more boost in 3rd than 2nd and the cold air creeps up on you.

well i have to disconnect my battery if i'm not driving the car for at least 5 hours so the ecu gets reset every time so i think that's what it is. my check engine light doesn't come on until i turn off the car and turn it back on. i already know what all the codes are. the cold air may have helped out a little too.

i dont think fuel cuts triggers a code
lol i had the same prob. cold air giving me a lil extra in 3rd. i get a hard jerk then the boost drops and im fine.
iv got no codes though....
