Default broke some studs in the head, how do i get them out?

i was taking my exh man off and 2 studs broke in the head. i went to home depot, asked the guy for their baddest mambajamba drill bits, he gave me one. i took it home, got to drilling and its not even making a dent.
does anyone have any advice as to how i'm supposed to get these damn things out?

thanks Mitsu Tech

drill into them with a smaller bit and remove them with an extractor or drill them out completely and helicoil them

hey bro, I had the same problem as you, I chewed up a million drill bits and when I did finally get a good hole I snapped off the extractor in the head. I had to get a new head. That, or you can buy a bare head and swap everything over, which is a pain in the dick. Best bet is, if its just a couple that are spread out, fuck it.

Spray extra gasket spray and whatever else to make it hold best as it you can and and it may look sloppy but rtv it and it might not leak. I missing the far left bottom mani stud because the hole is stripped and I made it work with no exhaust leaks. Idk how missing two will be though. Maybe you can take it to a proffessional and they could get it out.

i JUST had my damn timing belt done (as in like 2 days ago), i don't have the time or money to take the head off and take it somewhere. if i can't get them out, i'm just going to drive it with the missing bolts and just get a new head and whenever the new head is ready, just swap em.

Just take your exhaust manifold off and buy a real set of extractors and drill bits (snap on, matco, etc.). You might have to use a little heat to get them out.
