Well I got the head taken off tonight and thanx to Rob (hybirdgsrlegend) he had a complete head that I picked up from him. Everything looks good so far on the bottom end. Pistons have some grooves from the valves being that the motor has 116,000 miles on it. If that is not normal let me know!! The only thing im worried about now is the head that I picked up is a little bit different from my head. Intake cam is different, also there is a harness under the cam gears and the CAS(I believe what it is) on this head is blocked off

the head i sold you is 7 bolt like we talked about you must have a 6 bolt if your cam angel sensor on the opisit side?

 

damn that sux when i first got my car there was a dead bird stuck in my radiator thats why i had bad heating problems because it was cracked from a bird crash landing into my radiator.

 

I dont know bro cause the 6-Bolt head I have at the apartment is different from the head that I got from you. The motor in the car is a 7-Bolt I know that for sure. Call then kid and ask him if its a non turbo head. Thats the only thing I can really think of unless it is off of a Hyundai.

 

Does anybody know if the heads are different on the 95-96 compared to the 97-99?

Thanx man. Everythings coming together. Took a lil longer than expected but no worries. My goal is to get it running tonight. All I have left it to put the timing belt on and then put everything back together

 

know what sucks two days after putting my new motor in the timing belt snapped ... and i sold my extra head to nate danm? but i got a new head and its being surfaced and cleaned will be running again monday!!
