This is most likely an electrical problem. your just going to have to check the grounds and all connections.

 

shit. i know absolutly jack squat about wiring and electrical problems.

 

buy a haynes manual that will help. i still say check the battery connections make sure they are clean and tight and check the ground by the battery. Im sorry i cant help you more.Its hard to diagnose an electrical problem.

 

so ur sure its an electrical problem? i could hace swarn it was the IAC or TPS sencor.

 

The IAC would throw a CEL and if you not getting that then its going to be an electrical problem.
it could be the ECU going out but its really hard to say.

a bad tps will not shut off your car.

 

im not mitsu tech but

if it was the iac it would surge idle, and if it was the tps it would have a real sluggish throttle response or little to no acceleration.

my $0.02 could be wrong
