compression test
did a compression test on my 1g, it doesnt really hit boost, and feels slow as hell. i dont think this compression test really explains that though. although it is a little low. from cyl. 4-1 it goes 150.135.120.150

well thats the problem, it doesnt seems like its even hitting any boost, like the wastegate is opening at 3 psi or something.

The fact the 2 adjecent cylinders (2 and 3) both have low compression kinda shows signs of a blown head gasket.
Also could be rings. Poor a little bit of oil down the 2 low cylinders. If compression comes up its rings.

yea ill do that..but would this kind of compression cause the turbo to not spool? i checked the timing belt, boost leaks, and now compression. what if the base ignition timing is way off?

With the lower compression the turbo might spool up a tad slower than usual but I doubt you would even be able to feel it if that was the problem. It should still eventually reach the maximum boost you have it set for.
I would say you have another problem.
Those compression number a just a tad low, your boarder line on what the norm is when you have to get into the motor and see whats going on. The lowest of all the cylinder should be no more than 20 percent less than the highest cyinder. Right now your right at the cut off. So your on the fence with the compression. Its not like they are in the dirt like 10 psi. If that was the case then I would say yes.

i cant even hear the turbo spooling, but i can hear the wastegate open (i have an o2 dump). i can hear the blow off valve too. im gonna throw in my boost guage and see what its really doing.

I guess you put that dump on. Whats the 20g wastegate suppose to open up at? I dont think its your compression at all, before I built my engine it was trashed, all but the 4th cylinder were low 120's, and #4 was around 140. Anyways, it ran like shit and smoke and sputtered but it would still build stock boost and get up.

it hits 10psi but feels like its going nowhere lol. i put in a boost gauge and it said 10psi. it doesnt sputter or anything, drives fine but then doesnt move when it gets into boost lol. i also noticed that the engine vibrates past 3k when free revving, like the balance shafts are shot lol. yea dario i got a 1g haha
