thats what im wondering, i didnt check the balance shaft belt or the one on the oil pump, i just took the old one off and threw this one on. ive always just removed my balance shafts, so ive never dealt with this before. is that the thing where you stick a screwdriver in the hole in the back of the block? and the crank may have rotated once while the timing belt was off, not sure if that could mess crap up. could it be bogging the engine down also? im in the middle of trying to figure out where to connect the knock sensor, im about to make my own knock sensor harness directly to the ecu, but where do i connect it? i cant find a plug and im not familiar with the 1g's. its a 91tsiawd btw.

Maybe something is faulty in your w.g. actuator or rod causing the flapper to stay open.

ok, so i figured out the low power issue, it was the knock sensor. now i just gotta verify the base timing, and then see if i can get the boost to turn up.
