importance of block dowel pins?

my car is kinda lumpy when warmed up but not as much as i thought it would be. half the time it idles normal..but i dunno like i said i know its not stock in their..but what if i got some 264s in there instead fucked up thought.

ok i checked my car the cams have an engraving says its bc but i dont recognize the numbers. it says bc 181 seriously they are both identical so i dunno for now my minds at ease and i check the site they dont make 264s soo i dunno. and that engraving is found by the sprocket side really small. i mean i highly doubt anyone would go through the troublet engrave that except the mfgr. can someone let me know if what i read was correct the bc 181

I think bc uses color codes. I have a few sets of BCs at the shop. I'll let you know what the markings are.

Are you sure that it's not 101 instead of 181? Part number BC0101 is for 272/272. BC does not make a 264 cam.
