Impressive failure
No signs of heat or rod knock - Looks good prior to the failure.

The bearing will be slightly smashed if it was caused by a methanol failure. The rod broke at its weakest point.

I agree with Tom on this one.

 

well this engine has seen a good bit of knock before mainly from when my fuel pump went out, and there were signs of knock on the number 3 bearing(i think it was from previous runs though) methanol failure is pretty unlikely since i just bought a new pump 2 days before this, and i was keeping an eye on the boost and a/f when it happened.
