Default Help! Overboosting...

i just installed my hallman boostcontroler last night and i switched to the heavy spring and with the boost controller as low as it would go im hitting 25+ pounds of boost.... i didnt hold it, i just notices it when iwas trying to hit stock boost. i put the light spring in and it did the same thing.. i have the vacume line coming off the wastegate to the 90 degree nipple on the MBC and the vacume line from the BOV to the other nipple on the MBC. theres no leaks anywhere. and i know my boost gauge is accurate...

Any help and/or insite to why its doing this?

The Pressure line(BOV or NIPPLE on lower intercooler pipe) should go to the bottom nipple on the hallman. The waste gate goes on the side nipple. IF this is how you have it then you got it on right. Check the MBC for blocks and make sure the spring is in correct. If the spring gets caught on anything internally the ball inside can get stuck shut.

its all the way out... i have checked inside and the ball and spring shouldnt be getting caught on anything... and i have the lines the right way... wastegate to side nipple on MBC and BOV/manifold line to the top nipple...

If you take the mbc off and just run a vaccum line from the bov strait to the wastegate what happens?

can you run a line straight from the intake manifold? i dont think the nipple on the BOV puts out any pressure.

DDillard just wondering if everything is OK. Never got a call to meet up.

T-ing of the BOV line works on the EVOs, but it is better to use the pressure line off the lower pipe. It gives you a better source of pressure for the boost controller. When you T-off the Bov line you have to share the pressure between the MBC and the BOV. This can cause the BOV to lose pressure and give you a boost leak. Using the pressure line from the lower gives you consistant pressure everytime, and gives each thier own pressure source.
