ok well i went out the other night to the street races out here in orlando and my car was realy gay!

everyone loved it cause it would get out the hole faster than anything FWD that ran out there, but as soon as i hit 3rd the power band dies.

BTW for those that dont know i have a 98 GS eclipse. mods are magnaflow exhaust and short ram intake, 17" rims with zr tires.

nothing fancy, but i pulled 1car on an rx-8 out the hole, 2 on a civic hatch, 1 on a TC, door to door with a NICE teggy. but as soon as i get out of 2nd gear and hit third my power goes BLA.............then everyone hunts me down. (and before people talk crap, im talking about cars even match with mine not a type r teggy with 4k in parts.)

if i could find some kind of way to keep the power band going in 3rd gear....i could actually win. and Turbo is to much $$$$$$$$ for what i want, anyone know about spraying the 420a motor? nothing major just enought to keep me infront after i shift like a 50-75 shot??

Happens with me and my buddy when he runs his mazda speed....3rd gear is when it all goes to hell, only thing to do is to spray it

just spray a 50 shot that should be able to help you out a decent amount .... smaller wheels will do something also

 

I went to the track when my car was bone stock. I ran 15 flat and there was a gs that kept up with me all it had was a 100 shot.
