I would have to say that theres not alot of potential for those cars compared to the evo/sti...

but at the same time...

The mazda speed 3 was ranked fastest factory fwd turbo car. But when you think about it...How many cars are out in 2006/7 that come from factory that are fwd and turbocharged? the only other one I can think of is the mazdaspeed 6. So of course that car would win when its the only car in that class... I may be wrong

you're right. I was thinking mainly japanese... one car that pulls pretty good is the cobalt ss...but then again thats supercharged

the kid had a jetta 1.8t fully tuned on 19psi with a bunch of mods and with my t-25 turbo i beat him by 1 car. He said he dynoed around 220 with the jetta so i wonder what he is puttin to the wheels with the mazda 3 speed.

umm the newest VW's are 2.0T FSI. very peppy. i know a lot of people with em. basically with JUST programming, youre in the LOW 14's.

the 1.8t's came in 150 and 180hp. and slightly less tq than those stock. once they are chipped, youre seeing low 200's for hp and about some high tq. numbers in the 250's or so...

my 12v vr6, once it goes turbo, the "weakest/smallest" kit will put my around 250 wheel and similar tq...

and i think there is a good deal of potential with those cars, the block are amazing, its just the trannies that ive heard are sketchy. put a gt35 on the mazdaspeeds and youre lookin at an easy high 300, low 400hp car (with of course accomodating upgrades)

My cars clean, might not be the fastest thing around but honestly i have a bike so it really dosnt matter. Im going to keep moding untell i hit 300hp then i will see what i decide to do from there. Im balancing college, work, girlfriend and my eclipse right now so... the gt35r is going to have to wait. untell then ill be the turtle..

injectors and afc go in tomorrow.. I dont have a logger however how much boost do you guys think i should run? next week sometime i should get tuned.
