I just started work on my new 2006 Evo IX and so far have put on Megan Headers and it worked fantastic. However when I put in an Injen Intake and Injen intercooler pipes the car shut down. The car will rev up to 2000 - 2500 rpms then it is like it is pegging. It won't rev any further than that. I think that it is the ECU is interfering and I think I need to get it reflashed. Any ideas?

 

a boost leak .... check all of your IC pipes

 

get a boost leak tester or bring it by the brothers shop and they can check it out for you. i would check your couplers first though. and make sure you remembered to reconnect your mas airflow sensor....youd be amazed how many times i forget that.

 

I have the same set up. Make sure your MAS is pluged in, check all vacuum lines, and reset the ecu. You are going to need a flash bc your idle is going to be shitty.

I have checked and rechecked all of the IC pipes for leaks, and did the same with all of my vacuum hoses and MAS. I did run it with a vacuum hose disconnected once when i first did the install, but I have since fixed that problem. I think that the prob is the ECU freaking out
