thats a LOT of work to do to make a car "unstoppable". The same could be said about a lot of cars (adding a turbo and effectively building the motor)

I think the new Eclipse is a nice car, far better than the Pontiac influenced 3g's, but it doesn't appeal to me nor is it meant to. It's a secretary's car, just like the 3g. It simply had no intentions of being a sports car, plain and simple

 

I would have to disagree with you. DSM aka Diamond Star Motors was a Mitsubishi/Chrysler venture which ended in 1993 according to articles. Some 95 Eclipse/Talon ended up with DSM badges/stickers and the rest of the 95-99 ended up with just Mitsubishi badges/stickers. So no "DSM" did not stop making the 4g63t motor in 1999. DSM ended years before 1999. I had to correct your bit of false information there. In reality, technically DSM ended in the 1g's (90-94) some of it got carried over to some 95's. Now there's reason why 2g's are considered DSM's but hell this subject has been beat down for years... no need to get into it.

 

I agree with you. People I have talked to have said the same.

 

i dont like them at all but thats just my opioion... the 3g has been driven by most girls not many guys tend to drive one... my friend has a 3g and all i really like about it is the interior... but as the 4g it gets even worse... it doesnt even look like the ecilpse anymore... and as for power im gonna have to give a big thumbs down...

If they made the concept version of the 4g (ralliart edition) with AWD and 4g63t then it would of sold. Mitsubishi's sales would have gone up with the Evo and the Concept Eclipse. But Mitsubishi FAILED!

 

+1 all they really have is the MR and those sell like crazy

 

i had a friend who turboed the 3g, evertime he would get into boost, he would blow the tranny haha.
