will the evo 5 motor bolt up to a NA 2g? i think its the same as the evo 8 which i have seen. any ways if it will fit what else would i need?

local guy in orlando has the evo 5 motor with ecu and harness, evo6 turbo, and only 30k on the motor for $2k

so im thinking about it.

 

engine changed after Evo III if i remember correctly. It would be easier than the dsm 4g63........good luck with that

 

with modification to the rear motor mount it should go right in... but dont quote me on that

 

Evo IV and up will work, as far facing the same direction as the 420a. It should fit in the engine bay with modifications. I don't think this will be a direct swap like a H&A swap. But I'm sure it will work being that I've already seen pictures of Evo 8 motors in 2gnt...

Grab that evo motor and find an outlander to put it in. Aussie outlanders have a turbo 4g63....They are called airtek I think.

 

well i did a lil reading up and i would need a 3g tranny, 5 speed. but supposidly all but the rear mount are the same! its 1 hell of a project for a 2g NA. i was thinking of just getting another z31 and dumping my $$$$ in that. less fab work , just a normal rebuild, bigger turbo, injectores, fmic, and the bolt ons and call it a day. 350+ hp with under 2k.

what do you guys think?

PS my eclipse got rocked by an LS civic tonight, so im a lil pissed at it...lol.

dont know how the hell it took an h22 and h23 prelude but couldnt keep up with the LS. no lie off the light b4 the end of first gear he was like 2 cars out, i didnt even bother after that.
