clutch engaging problem
I blew the clutch out of my 97 gst and had it replaced by this nitit mechanic who ruined about 7 clutches till he finaly installed it right(or atleast as I thought at the time) it still slipped from time to time and could never figure out why. It seems the clutch is compleatly fried. when you step into the gas after shifting into the next gear its allright till like 3-4.5 grand then its like its not catching and feels/sounds like its slipping like a super smooth rubing noise and you can feel a jerk in the transmission like its trying to catch it. when you floor it going inot the next gear it feels like your not going anywhere followed by more frequent jerks and rubbing/clank noises def comming from tranny not engine. also the car dosent pull into next gear untill the clutch is ALL THE WAY up. like a millimeter from being all the way up is when it only catches. Im about to order a f1 racing stage 3 clutch and install it. any advice on the clutch not catching untill all the way off the floor and what the guy might have done wrong for the clutch to grind and jerk randomly when you get into higher rpms?
