well, looking at what happened, and how this all started after you lost oil, its not looking good, oil has to go through the filter before it goes through the engine, and since you lost your filter, you lost oil pressure as soon as you lost the filter. it doesnt matter how much oil you had left in the pan, the only thing i could think of is the turbo went out because of low oil, and you got rod knock because of it too. i honestly dont see any other explanation. it sucks, but thats what it sounds like.

 

well if it is rod knock isn't that supposed to be really loud? like while driving it sounds like someone's hammering..cuz that's how my last engine went lol.

while driving i don't hear it...only while it's idling and when i open the hood...

 

well the turbo is obviously shot, now the knocking, it might just be a case of putting in new bearings, but i dont know if you can do that, i wonder if you can just put in new bearings if the damage is very light. anyone know if that will work? as long as the crank is good i dont see a problem.

 

i really hope it's just the turbo or something....i had a hahn super 16g on there....now i'm looking for a nice turbo that will give me 300whp...any suggestions dane? i'm thinking the evo 3 16g gt turbo....that should be enough to give me 300whp right?

i am not sure if that knocking sound is my injectors...cuz they are pretty loud. i have fic 650's.

it sounds pretty bad though.

 

youll need race gas or meth to make that much, and dsmlink or somethin like it would be useful. 300whp would be easy though just on pump gas and piggyback. you should have someone listen to it honestly though. the more opinions the better.

 

yeah, with that much play in the turbo, you could just be hearing that flop around in there trying to spin at the idle speed of about 20,000rpm's (and I know you said it sounded like it was in the back of the engine) but just trying to give you my .02
