Its not a huge deal. I can have the tranny back out in about a half hour. I just hate doing things twice. As soon as realized what I did it seemed like a good place to quit for the night.
I`ll get it done tomarrow.

Don't feel to bad Tom, I got my Eclipse running beautiful yesterday. Everything was working and it purrd, then I tried to drive it and ever few feet thud thud. The whole engine as the car moved shifted left to right. I called almost everyone but you that I knew, and was told my tranny was binding, so I switched T-cases. I got the same results again, well at this point I started tearing the tranny back out. Two bolts left connecting it to the engine and one mount left I started pulling the passenger CV shaft. Once I touched the shasft it fell apart "WTF" I didn't even pull on it! So when I get it out of the car a bunch of little pieces fall out of what used to be one of the knuckles. I was Livid, being that I just payed $80 for these axels from a board member. This was the first time they where used and I barely got out the driveway.

So I feel your pain! All I can do is suck it up and get ANOTHER, "my 3rd" one now to get the car running.

I got everything done and the only thing left was to put the transfer case.
So I get under the car and was about to put it on when I was looking at the new flywheel admiring how shinny it was and just happened to at that moment remember I forgot to put the new tob in the tranny.

So I am done for today. This is why I don't generally try to do a whole lot in one day. I will have to pull the tranny back off tomorrow and fix this.
Thats something you will only do once.

Miguel those axles came from that car the guy in maimi was building. It was not running when I got it. No way of knowing one of the axles was hurt. If I remember they still had the discount sticker on them. let me know what you want to do about it.

Not blaming you, thats why I didn't post negative about it or list a name. Its just my damn luck My stupidity for not checking the cv axel first before ripping the tranny out. Sucks, the other axel that was originally in the car was fine, the boot was torn thats why it wasn't used. I'm just bumbed I thought I would have my car running this weekend. I will just take my axel with the broken boot to Mikes driveline to be rebooted and use it tomorrow. The other one I can use the axel cv cup from it for my half honda to dsm cv axel conversion going from the Honda hub to the 2g tranny.

Do you have a tranny jack? I think that's the next big hurdle in lowering my tranny drop times. Last time we hurried we almost dropped the tranny- right on Kris's head. I'm getting kinda tired of manhandling it in and out of there.
