ok, it just sounds like a rattley honda haha. i dont mind the noise as long as its normal..but it does sound like a metal plate rattling or somethin, its hard to describe. jerry this is a 40mm wastegate right?

 

its a new setup, new turbo, and i beleive its a 40mm wastegate (at least thats what it looks like)

 

Check and make sure that nothing is rubing or metal tapping when the motor flexs.
You will also get a reverbing sound if the dump points right at the ground. It echos of the pavement.

 

yea i dont think its hitting anything, it sounds better now that i turned the boost up though. i got it to around 18psi....i swear its faster than my big16g at 26psi. and this is with no timing adjustments, just adjusting the fuel and methanol a little...i should have it at 20psi tonight after a little bit. lifter tick is also gone so thats not a problem anymore!!

yea, any of your cars done or almost done? ive heard about them but havent seen em!!! but anyway.....21psi tonight, i got it there and WOW....thats all i was saying. the timing is still zeroed out, but my a/f ratio is at a 11.4 and methanol. id say a solid 400whp at least. the timing is at 15 degrees so the timing isnt bad. the thing runs strong though!!!! i love this turbo, it sounds aboslutely nasty and moves.

 

my green car is done but has tranny whoas.
the blue one is coming together this month.
if i dont blow a tranny.
