aem is a LITTLE more than that, do you know how much aem is? its like 1600, which is not close to whatever dsmlink would cost even with the ecu. and you can sell your non eprom ecu for a bit of cash. besides that dsmlink is gonna be WAY better for him unless he has a good tuner doin everything. i would personally want to be able to understand what is goin on with the tune and be able to learn how to do a little tuning myself.
if you look around you can get a used aem for about a 1000 or so .... that seems to be the going rate for all of these full dsm link ecu crap that people try to sell ..... from the looks of spoolin (chris) i dont think he will be tuning the car him self ... so aem or dsm link he will be needing some one to tune it

go figure the other guy would say an aem is better to get for this guy, he is the same one who thinks someone is dumb for wanting to replace their 7 bolt with a 6 bolt.

y would u want an older engine? u people think that cuz u have a 7bolt ur automaticly going to get crankwalk, people like u make starters think that 7 bolt motors aren't worth shit just like that kid that has a 2g with a perfect 7bolt motor and wants to trade it for a 6 bolt, it makes no sense.

Some off you really should do more listening and less talking.
The amount of bad advise and mis-information around here is rediculous.
If you dont have hands on experience with both and or ever even built a quality fast car you qualify as one that should be listening not talking.
