Default good shop to get bottom end done

blowing some smoke

only at first start up.. and if the cars been sitting in one place for a while and I move it whitish/blue smoke shoots out

want to stay 7bolt and go nitrated crank, 1g rods, 2g pistons, and probably run stock compression..

how much does this typically cost .. and who do you reccomend for the job?

Jerry aka LancerMan for the rebuild and as far as the nitrated crank is concerned. PM him for more info or just look in the sticky for his phone number and give him a call.

if i were you i would buy a 6 bolt block that already has a nitrated crank and the 1g rods and the have Engine Lab of Tampa - The Engine Specialists do the build. if you go down this road it will save you money now and later......................

if I go 6bolt.. theres alot of things to swap..

and IMO a 7bolt motor is a better motor once crankwalk is worked out..

eh I dont think my pistons are the best candidates with 132k on em

frist there is not alot of thing to swap over second the 7seven bolt is a better motor just not the 7bolt in are cars(sorry jerry and dustin)and last crankwalk has never ben worked out! everyone has a theory on how to fix it and they have all failed (including the nitrated crank deal)or never been tested.btw im just trying to help

I have the best stocked shop of used parts in the state of florida and I no longer do 6 bolt swaps. there are a shitload of parts that are different. It is far smarter to stay 7 bolt. The 7 bolt is a better motor by far anyway. Even if you dont have a nitrided crank. Not to mention if you do run a 6 bolt swap you have to run dsm link or AEM to rid ignition misfire problems.

I am doing a 7 bolt swap in the yellow car if that tells you anything. The nitrided crank theory has not failed. It is fully tested and proven in 6 bolt blocks. If you think nitriding wont work because there are 7 holes in the end of the crank, all I have to say is

I am not your man for economical buildups. I no longer have the time or interest in doing things cheap. But if you wish to go that rought find yourself a good 7 bolt block with good bores. Then just use evo8 pistons and rods with a nitrided crank. The stock block evo hp record is now up to 607whp. It can handle 500whp on a daily basis if you use high enough octane and good tuning.
