little help for the noobster
First of all NEVER DUMP THE CLUTCH it will be something that you will have to feel for yourself, you should get it right after your second clutch or so.
What you have to do with a stock car is bring the rpms up to about 6-7500rpm and gradually let out on the clutch...we call it "feathering the clutch" Kind like what you do in a FWD car when taking off fast from a light without spinning, your loading the drivetrain.
A stock awd car takes a higher rpm launch because it doesn't have much power for the follow through after takeoff.
This is something that will have to be shown to you a time or two and then practice makes perfect. save money for clutch discs
If you need pointers I will be happy to show you sometime, pm me your name and number and maybe I will show you this weekend.

He is right DON'T DUMP THE CLUTCH! If you dump the clutch on an AWD car you will destroy the transmission and transfer case. Feather the clutch. I drive an EVO IX. By getting your rpm's to about 6g's you will be able to build boost for your take off. Then lift your foot fast then your normal shift, but don't side step it. It is sort of like double clutching the car. You can bring your foot half way, so you feel it grab. Then let it up fast.
