Yeah it all starts with a bit of lifter tick. My old car 92 GS was doing this... as miles progressed and time went on it eventually did the samething. Sucks... I've been in this boat before.

Yea, I was over there the other day and everyone thought it was lifter smack, but I was saying that it sounds like rod knock. I think it is definitely rod knock because it was rpm consistant. I just hope for your sake that I am wrong. Good luck man.

It was not rebuilt.

I'm gonna start parting the car out i guess. This shit bucket doesn't deserve any more money thrown into it.

Looks like i have to invest in a 18 speed.

On a side note, Ozzfest was fun.

Would you sell the car as a whole the way it is. If so how much?

Rule one, never by a dsm unless your:
a) an excellent or certified mechanic
b) have a more than sufficient bank account
c) have a jules effect where your parents will take care of everything
d) have a very good job where it doesn't hurt to spend every other check on it.

Sorry that this happened to you, I say suck it up and have the Brothers fix it, then sell it. You will get alot more for it that way and account for what the cost to fix would be!

I delt with it over and over and over again, only because of what I have into it.
