i think we should all get cam-corders in are cars incase something like this happends..

 

I already suggested to him that he gets a hand-held tape recorder. I know for a fact that once I start driving my car, all of our conversations, if any, will be recorded!

Damn that sucks. Cop was an asshole and a jerk. I would of gave him an attitude too. I just think after being in handcuffs and all I would want to bring him hell. Obviously your not a punk kid and don't take this in a wrong way but your older then most in Mitsu Tech. Taking it to court you should have more of a case because of the fact you have more yrs behind your belt as far as driving compared to the average young adult who's prone to doing such things as the cop put upon you. I would definately try to fight it. Especially if the ticket says you were speeding but he didn't issue any ticket for speeding but gave you tickets for everything else... that makes no sense. If you were actually speeding he would of gave you a speeding ticket on top of the reckless driving ticket.

I definately like the camcorder idea if not a tape recorder. But camcorder would be a lot better.

if he didnt get you with a radar gun he cant give you a ticket, and if that is the reason you were pulled over then the other tickets must me throw out because he did an illegal surch of your car by checking the tints. now if he stoped you for the tints its a different story but then he cant give you a speeding ticket. so i would fight it.

That's not true. There are three methods and an officer can use when issuing a speeding ticket.
-radar/laser
-pacing
-discretional judgement

The second method is the most difficult to fight because you're going to have to prove their speedometer is miscalibrated (or it's error margin is significant enough that you could have fallen within the legal limit).
The first method is the next hardest to fight in court because you need to have information on the type of gun they used and its deficiencies.
The final method is can be beat rather easily. The problem is, the cop pulled him over for a moving violation and gave him a ticket for that, and tacked on the other two (both valid).
