Cant say it any better then what John said. Im a fan of the 4G63 wether its a 6 bolt or a 7 bolt. It really doesnt matter to me. But im not going to pull a motor out of my car that I have not had any issues with but for the spun rod bearing.

Shit there might not be a fix at all, it might all be within the block design. But I will try and stay true to the 7 bolt until all option are exhausted..

Just get your crank nitrated. Don't sell the car and drive and drive and drive, beat on it once in a while, do some launches. See how much mileage you get before it walks, then the theory will have proof and no one can say different. Hey they'll talk about you and almost all DSM boards... well this guy did it....

There is a couple of cars that jerry has already put nitrated cranks in. Shit one ran with almost no oil pressure in it due to customer jacking car up on oil pan and pinching pick up tube. Spun the rod bearings and the crank was perfectly fine. Jerry changed the bearings the crank and motor are still good today.
Im by far not the pioneer in this. Im just willing to try out something that I think is a good idea.
