Still can't get the damn thing to crank up. Foud a starter wire pulled out of a clip by the fuse box. fixed that. Then found a pin bent in half on another clip, fixed that. But I'm still having the exact same issues. I turn the key and I just get a clik from the dash, nothing else. Is there a shop anywhere in the states that I can call to get some help on this?

Just got off the phone with GTPro and he's basically saying I'm screwed and have fun testing out the entire harness and everything it attaches to. I'm about to give up cause I was only paid $500 to put an engine into an empty bay...

That's where I'm working on the car at... It's my first vr4 swap and I thought there would be a sure fire way to trouble shoot but the manual leaves you high and dry.

check the clutch ped. switch under the dash.....there is a small rubber plug, if it is gone or worn down to far it can make it so the switch is not pressed in all the way find the switch all the way at the top of the pedel and push it in then turn the key and the car will start right up and mike you have my number

Tried two other ECUs. I bridged the clutch pedal switch for now. Art, I think it's missing the #5 ground wire on the relay switch. The diagram is showing it as a chasis ground from the fuse panel.

The #5 pinout on the relay isn't supposed to have any wires from the looks of things. Seems like its just a dead off position for the #4 pinout.

So I tested everything on the starter relay with it plugged in through the underside of the fuse panel. Every pin out combination gets power and continuity in off, on, and start positions. I don't think it's supposed to be like that unless thats a wrong way to test the harnes and relay.
