BOV question

Well, your in luck! I have my HKS hooked up to a greddy flange. Below is how to do it. Made this just for you, or anyone else who may want to do it...



Just make sure the nuts and bolts are tight, and do a leaktest after wards. I've never had a problem with mine like this.

Oh and when buying/using the smaller washer(blue), make sure its not thicker than the base "disk" of the HKS bov.Obviously if it is, then the big washers(red) wont be able to press down tight on the base of the BOV.

Its easy once you actually start doing it.

Modding the 1g bov in that manner slows the response when the port is referenced to atmosphere and can cause the turbo to stall and surge before the BOV opens. It works great when you hook it up to a solenoid and can switch it to high boost mode for limited use, but it's not very good for an application that's going to see over 18 psi all of the time.

i use the greddy type r....that is made for big boost, when u see it you'll know what im talking about...
