If you get a Tial make sure you get a 9lb spring cuz the 7lb will open at idle and the car will stall. I would just get something you can recirculate so you dont have any issues. Maybe a HKS SSQV with the recirc kit. If you wanna keep the Type S, you can adjust it to make it stiffer so it wont leak.

HKS Super Sequential would be good for you. Its a pull type so it doesnt leak like push types can. If you want/need to recirculate, you would have to buy the recirculation kit though.

heh, if you want cheap I still suggest that 1st gen DSM BOV mod...$7 for a dsm unit from the junkyard($80 new) and maybe $20 to mod it to hold 30psi...why would you need anything else?

Are the tial and HKS both weld on kits or are they bolt on's? I know the Greddy RS is a bolt on.

HKS has an adaptor that goes where the stock BOV goes (stock piping). The Tial will require a flange welded to a UICP.

Do you know of a company online that sells the HKS SSBV and the bolt on adaptor?

If you have the stock pipes, thats when you need the bolt-on adapter. If you have an aftermarket upper IC pipe, which i would assume you do if your running 20+ psi, then you need the weld on flange.

However, it is possible to bolt up the HKS to a greddy/1g flange thats already welded on, if thats what you already have. Let me know, I will make a little diagram showing you how. Kinda ghetto, but it works fine.

Thats how mine is, and I've never had any problems.

Edit: And last time I checked, Racing Zone in Tampa had the HKS SSQ for like $220...Which is a really good price, even compared to internet shops. I dont remember if that included the adapter, but you shouldnt be hooking this up to your stock pipes anyways.

Currently I have a Greddy FMIC and Greddy piping with a Greddy Type S BOV. it's on a 98 GS-T. I've been hearing that each company's BOV's are only bolt on to the same company's piping. If you are going to mix and match piping to BOV then you must weld the flange on. I really want the HKS BOV but don't want to weld unless I have to. But I guess there is no way around this.
