Default PLX M-300 Wideband problem...

Here's another problem I am facing... The wideband unit reads 14.7 the whole enitre time. It doesn't change higher or lower. The sensor works because we tried it on another vehicle. What do you think the problem is coming from? The unit it self or the o2 sensor wire harness????

Exactly how do you have it hooked up.
Are you using a guage, logging it, both.
Where is it grounded.

The unit is connected directly to the battery so when the car is running it's on. i'm not sure where it's grounded but i will found out. I didn't install it. If the unit wasn't grounded correctly, it would not even turn on...right???

It should be hooked up to key on power.
Not sure why you would hook it up strait to the battery but thats wrong.
I take it you are using the 52mm gauge with it and not logging it with dsm link or aem, etc.

if the gauge is reading total lean all the time, then it means its not getting a signal thus reading 0 volts. meaning total lean. Your sensor might work, but its not hooked up to the gauge.

I know when it's lean, which is an extremely bad thing, but i know how the car runs when it's lean (past experience)... it's running good now. no white smoke. I think i'm going to check the ground first then the wire harness... It has to be one of those two. Oh and by the way, i did give false info. the unit is connected to the ignition like TOM N said.
