Everybody post a quick status update on their car. Any recent mods, problems, breakages, fixes, if the car is running right now or not, etc.

I covered mine in my bolts thread, but I'll summarize with

-tranny rebuild
-new clutch
-new flywheel
Be on the road this weekend.
Feel free to go into more detail; I don't feel like typing that crap out twice and I'm sure nobody wants to read it twice.

 

Oil change.

BTW Jordan, who did your tranny rebuild, and how much? I'm thinking of getting a "Jerry" built transaxle. 2nd gear is starting to show its age slightly. Time for a new clutch/flywheel as well.

 

Up and runnign smoothly, just installed my SAFC II so I'm leaning to tune it. Advice greatly appreciated btw

 

Runs decent but timing is off or old gas might be the culprit.I will try to hit the track soon enough.

 

got in an accident 3 weeks ago. I was going down US 19 and a guy made a u-turn and didnt yeild to me. I couldnt stop in time. Fender and hood were fucked up, blitz front bumper was a little fucked up, and my power steering and ac were gone. Not to mention brand new halos and the passanger side was completely bent inwards. Hopefully though i will be getting my car back any where from today to saturday, if im lucky; because they have a new blitz front, and new halos for my car now.

 

Transfer case locked up and took out the tranny and driveshaft with it. I picked up new parts for $320. I then picked up a set of 650cc injectors, FMIC kit, MAFT, GM 3" MAF, SAFC2, VPC harness, and big brakes. My car is still down cuz my garage is occupied by my WRX and there is a Monte Carlo getting a motor swap and 2 MKIII Supra's in my driveway Thats bout it.

 

Hmmm... Well, my car seems to run fine however it does need a few things and will be getting a few upgrades.

It needs one Valve stem seal. It also is running very hot on the Geo radiator, so I have a Griffin drag radiator to install.

The car is also getting some nitrous installed along with a 7cm housing that a 16g will soon reside in.

I also need to weld a small nipple on my intake tube to connect to the valve cover/crankcase vent/pcv.

In the mean time, I have a set of forged pistons and rods, new bearings, oil pump and water pump. This new motor will be assembled right after I but a damn trailer.

 

Got the galant sitting here. Head is ready to be put on the shortblock. Trans sitting here, clutch PP(still need some kind of disk) and a couple other little things. Pretty much just needs a turbo and a disk and man hours and it will be up and running. Looking to sell so I can buy 1g and build it to race next season. Looks like if I get bored enough I'm going to just put the galant together and run it till it sells.

 

Recent tranny breakage turned out to be a broken slider. very lucky the pieces didn't go into the rest of the gears. tranny going in is my spare I have been working on.

Possible upgrades going on in the next couple weeks. FP3 cams. New lightweight exhaust. 5 bar map. 43 psi here I come.

 

You still going to run pump/meth or do you plan on racegas or you gonna switch it all over to full meth?
