My Bolts came in- finally
I finally got the bolts I ordered over two weeks ago. 6 new flywheel bolts and 2 new upper tranny to block bolts. I'll have the car back on the road Saturday- this is the rundown of what will be new:
Jerry-rebuilt tranny with double second synchro and his standard tricks;
South Bend Clutch SS-OFE hybrid feramic/organic clutch with 2200 lb pressure plate (look for a review of this once I get it broken in and get some driving and track time on it);
ACT XACT Streetlite Flywheel.
Unfortunately I don't have the money to make piping for my front mount because I'm not getting paid until the day before TRack day, so I'll be running on the sidemount, but expect something a little bit better than my previous 12.9 at 104 because I'll be running on VP110 instead of 93, 18-20 degrees of timing instead of the 13-14 I was running when I had phantom knock, and >20 pounds of boost instead of 15. Also hope to be able to do the 1-2 shift without lifting with the new synchros.
Here's one question- does anybody know why I got two different upper tranny to block bolts? I had two identical bolts before one of them snapped, but the new bolts include a slightly shorter square-end bolt, and a longer rounded-end-thread bolt. I'm honestly not sure which is supposed to go where- I never knew they were different.
