Default Boost question

This Wednesday my walbro 255 and greddy fmic with 2.5 inch piping is going on. I'm on a 14b with intake exhaust and a crushed 1g bov. Currently without the fuel pump and fmic, i'm running 15 psi.

Without the use of a datalogger, how much boost can I run with the addition of pump and fmic?

I estimate 18lbs.

Now, I'm not talking about what it can handle max, I'm talking about safe to drive around with all the time.

Or does anybody have a datalogger so that I can use to test my hypothesis? (Ender. has cable that we can use)

Thanks.

-Aaron

18 lbs sounds reasonable. You will know if you went to far b/c you will hit fuel cut and your head will bounce off the steering wheel.

Safe? Safe is leaving it at 15 pounds. You were at the edge before- I've seen a fair amount of knock untuned on 15 pounds on the stock 1g sidemount. Now, if you can get a datalogger and make sure your timing curve is right, turn it up until you start to see signs of knock or till you hit 18-19 psi, sure.

I do not have an SAFC unfortunately (that's the next mod). I've decided it would probably be best to use a datalogger to just be sure of things. Anybody have a datalogger with software I could use? I'd come over your house and everything, whatever. I have a datalogger cable. Let me know.

If you don't have fuel control or any way to tell what your car is doing datalogging wise just stick with 1bar.

Meaning, just stick with 15 until I get fuel management?

So I guess I don't need to log it until I get safc then.

DL should be the first thing you ever get for a dsm. Get one anyways before you even get an safc that way you can do a scan to make sure everything is working right and that your car is ready for the next mod(safc).
