The car is a 2G AWD with (no motor, or ECU, No seats) it has tranny, harness, transfer case... I am wondering what would be the easiest, cost effective way to get this thing running. Thats the reason for all of the questions.

The easiest would be to put a 2g 7bolt motor and back in it.

Do what mike said go to cophers $99 motors w/o assesories $200 with get non turbo put turbo pistons in it,the heads are the the same as the turbo 4g but the cams, or find someone selling a 2g head, in good condition probaly get one for 150 or so. And you can get a 2nd gen turbo ecu from the junk yard such as magic in clearwater for about 150 if i remember correctly, then all you would need to do is rewire crank angle sensor and all other sensors should be ok. Mnifold you could pickup anywhere from 50 to 150 if it is a 1g mani or a 2g mani, ported or not. Turbos well your gonna have to look for the best price that suits you.

6 bolt 2g head you can still use your stock wiring harness. And a 2g ecu. IF that helps, plus i believe the 2g head flows better then the 1g which will help you down low with torgue being awd.
