with jumping 3 teeth on the 420A motor you want to make sure none of the rods have gotten bent/warped. The timing job isnt too hard, you can do it yourself if you pay attention to all 3 timing points on the motor. Get a Chiltons and go to town.

ouch... there isnt really a way to tell from just the description... doesnt sound good though. They need to open her up and get inside to see exactly what is damaged. Take it a trusted mechanic....wont be cheap...

Well, for a timing job you can take it to any particular shop you trust. To check to see if the rods and such may have been bent like ^^ said, you need to open her up and check. If you dont know what you are doing I would suggest engine lab. They are expensive however are very good at rebuilding if need be and can give you a warranty on the work too.

Are you wanting a spare 420A or are you just asking who here has one in their car??
