hopefully you have a aftermarket boost gauge so this way you can just start dialing and having fun(at your own risk-lol), out=low and in=high...what brand of MBC is it?

They are all different, all my turbo xs have been out for high and in for low.

ya... most manual BC i've used... its the opposite of what common sense would tell you... seems like.. if the screw came out, it would rasie the boost/screw it in lower the boost.. but like i said.. most of the ones i've used.. its the opposite..backing the screw out usually lowers the boost, screwing it in should raise the boost... just be careful and watch your boost guage....have at it

It makes sense if you take one apart and look at the construction. In most cases by tightening the screw you're adding preload to a spring that compresses a ball bearing to seal off boost pressure until the boost pressure is high enough to overcome the spring pressure. Loosening the screw reduces the boost needed to bypass the seal and flow to the wastegate actuator.

+1 for my MBC(joe p)in my opinion you just need to starting screwing it in and then out(sounds sexual--lol)and use your boost gauge to guide you..
