Default motor mounts!

where and how many motor mounts are there, i have the one motor mount disconnected from up top, and i have the block disconnected from the tranny, but it isnt really lifting up. from what i could see, the mounts were only connected to the transmission, i found 4 altogether, and 3 looked to be connected to the tranny, , but it still wont come up, what else do i have to disconnect...and dont say ic piping or any of that stuff...but the one side is coming up, buit the tranny side is staying put..it will come off of the tranny, like theres a gap where you can see right thru the tranny and the block.

there is one on the lower left half oh the side facing the front of the motor, and there is one almost the same, but faces the firewall.

They should be bolted to the block, if you were to remove the tranny, the motor would still be held in place by those two mounts. They are tied in to the chassis braces. You can remove the bolt that goes thru them, or unbolt the whole thing. Is your car a 5spd. If so, you will have to angle the motor and tranny pretty good to be able to slide off of the shaft.

Even if you think they are connected to the tranny, if you try, they might help.

Its not hard, just angle the motor right, and make sure you can clear everything, and it should slide right off.
