Default SAFCII tech question.

ok...I got an SAFCII and hooked it up over the weekend. Took some time to do the tuning and got the car running good again. Now I wanted to ask how many people have the blue wire mod done and how accurate is it?? Reason why I ask is because I have the autometer A/F Gauge (blinky light one) and the blue wire mod to actually read voltage. During idle the SAFC reads between .70 - .79 on voltage but my A/F gauge dances between lean and goes 1 green into rich. I know standard O2 voltage should be between .88 - .92 however no matter what adjustments I do on the SAFC, I can't get it to richen up during idle. Any Suggestions??

Blue wire mod is a no no. Degrades the signal to the ECU.

If the signal to the ECU is degraded with the blue wire mod, could that be why I am reading lower O2 voltage on the SAFC II vs my A/F Gauge??

Narrowband o2 sensors / gauges are worthless for tuning, I wouldn't go through any of the trouble that you are going through. Also, if you are actually running lean @ idle and can't correct with the AFC, you likely have a vaccuum leak somewhere.

I know but thats all I had until I can borrow a datalogger to tune more accurately. I will check for vacuum leaks tonight.
